WordPress vs Blogger

Over at my old blog, I used Blogger for quite some time. Now, for this blog, I’m using WordPress. Here are some initial advantages I see in this switch. I haven’t used WordPress for too long, so this is still exploratory.
- The ability to easily host the blog on my own server
- The ability to install a plugin that adds statistic tracking right into the blog management interface
- A cleaner way of templating, IMHO
- A more functional blog post editing interface — especially for adding photos and formatting
- Better tracking of incoming links and outgoing, ie. in the management interface
- Functionality to easily add pages and links
I don’t know, perhaps as I use WordPress more this list may expand or contract. But I think this is a good starting point, and shows why I’m really enjoying using WordPress.
