Not For The Pusillanimous
(pusillanimous: lacking courage or resolution; cowardly; faint-hearted; timid)
But meekness does not imply weakness. Jesus could thunder at the hypocritical scribes and Pharisees and could overturn the tables of the moneychangers in the temple. Moses, who is described in Scriptures as a meek man (Num.12:3), had the fortitude to take on the pharoah of Egypt and his whole court almost single-handedly and to deal forcefully with rebellious elements among the Israelites. Some things about Christianity need major rethinking. Disciples of Jesus are never called upon to be pusillanimous.
